1-Day Intensive "On2" Intro Transition Weekend Workshop

Time to "On2"! A special, intensive 4hr workshop introducing you to great pleasure of dancing Mambo and Cha Cha Cha, designed to supercharge your Latin dancing, on Saturday 30th May, 1:30pm-5:30pm.  Fun and Intensive Caramelo Saturday Workshops for Improver & Intermediate dancers looking to transition from Salsa On1 to the "On2" dances that are Mambo and Cha Cha Cha, as well for dance newbies. :D Supercharge your Latin dancing at Caramelo in 1 day! 1:30pm-5:30pm Caramelo Intro/Transition to "On2" Dancing Learn to Mambo & Cha Cha Cha! This workshop is ideal for Salsa dancers who are at an intermediate level or higher and are comfortable with their Salsa timing. You can also take this course if you are brand new to Latin dancing and only wish to learn Mambo on2 rhythm and dance style. You will learn the basic steps, partner-work, stepping on the “2” and the movements in Mambo. Also, we will help you identify the instruments used in the music, like the conga and clave, to make you more comfortable with the Mambo rhythm. Whether you have never done Cha Cha before, had some exposure to it, or even know some Ballroom-style Cha Cha Cha, then this course is perfect for you. We will teach you the basics of this syncopated-step dance, which will improve your Salsa timing and most importantly help you become light on your feet. The course will cover what we call the “core drill combo’s”, a series of step combinations and simple partner-work that will help to understand the rhythm and timing. What might seem difficult in the beginning will become very easy! Advance booking required. Online registrations are only possible up to 10pm the day prior. No registrations on the day. WHO IS IT FOR? Experienced Salsa On1 dancers and newbies to Latin dance too. WEEKEND WORKSHOPS SCHEDULE 13.15 – Doors Open / Sign-in 13.30 – Workshop Starts. Please bring a bottle of water. 17.15 to 17.30 – Demo and practice, music will be played and perfect for some Q and A.
