We aim to build a bridge between Ecstatic Drumming and Ecstatic Dancing Communities...where free-form movement and sound experiences weave and merge into a beautiful ECSTATIC JAM OUT...and the JOY OF SIMPLY BEING ALIVE IS RENEWED! FEATURING… Earth Ephect is the electronic music project created by multi-instrumentalist and producer Paul Patterson. Paul has been creating music since he first learned to play guitar as a teenager. Never satisfied with just one sound, he discovered looping and began experimenting with layering synthesizers and drum machines with his guitar. After embarking on a series of mind opening journeys with plant medicine, lucid dreaming and music, connections with his higher consciousness were made and his path was clearly set before him. This led to expanding his instrumental abilities and at a pivotal point in his young adult life he put together a home recording studio which allowed him to effortlessly record and layer musical ideas. This studio has been the epicenter for Paul's creative process where he creates music in a mixture of genres spanning ambient, downtempo, psybient and trance. Flowing grounded bass along with cinematic soundscapes and moody multi-instrumental melody lines are the signature sounds of Earth Ephect. Dreamy vocals often recorded by his wife (Kathryn Ashgrove)add an imperative divine feminine balance to the overall sound design. His creative process comes from his impactful and significant life experiences that reflect the concept of everything in our reality being connected through one shared consciousness. His intention is to raise our collective vibration into the higher realms of consciousness through the impact of music. THE SOUND SIRENS (Joy Okoye, Serenity Entity) are an improvised vocal and multi-instrumental duo that fuses world and experimental music invoking harmonic sacred sound and multi-sensory states of awareness. Enjoy this mystical sound ensemble that incorporates elements of soundscape, music meditation, sound healing, and performance art. All Ecstatic Dance Jersey gatherings conclude with authentic relating within a Sharing and Integration Circle w/ Joy Okoye and Serenity Entity. (All volunteers in exchange for free entry/limited exchanges at every dance). WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?!? Ecstatic dance is a free-form movement - or dance - that's intended to lead to a feeling of ecstasy. It's a spirit-full practice that involves dancing without judgment or expectations, and without the need for a partner nor any dance experience. There are no steps to learn or follow - just the movement of your own body. Ecstatic Dances are often led by a DJ, sometimes with live drumming performances, and feature music that moves from slow to peak to stillness. The goal is to create a healing journey that takes participants from slow to unwinding to ecstasy, and then towards peace and serenity. Ecstatic dance has been around since ancient times and has been revived in the West since the 2000s. Ecstatic Dance Jersey spaces are safe and inclusive, welcoming ALL ages, ALL abilities, and individuals from ALL walks of life to freely express themselves through movement. No prior dance experience is required, just come as you are! No alcohol. No substances. Let the music and dance be your medicine.
