Join us in celebrating Fusion dance with our monthly meetup! Lesson from 6-7pm to warm up and meet your fellow dancers. Then three hours of social dancing with two DJ sets 7-10pm. Light snacks and water provided. Fusion Connection is here for beginners and dance veterans alike. Join us in the universal partner dance! Fusion is the melting pot for all partner dancers to learn, co-create, and invite fresh dancers out to their first experience. Eric Sharp and Erica Lingrell are both integral members in the local West Coast Swing dance scene. Eric leads class at 6pm. This will be a truly all levels class! Those new to partner dance have been attending classes, but dance veterans won't want to miss this one either. "Discover a realm of intuitive connection in dance where each step is in perfect harmony with your partner and the music. In this class we will explore the magic of contra-body movement and the nuances of under/over rotation, guiding you to a level where your dance becomes an extension of your partner's movements. Eric Sharp has been dancing and DJing Fusion and West Coast/Modern Swing for over 5 years. His musical selections are a gooey, euphoric journey through a kaleidoscope of genres, each song dripping with emotion and intricately layered textures. Erica has been dancing many different dance styles over a 20 year period, including Bellydance, Persian, Central Asian, Salsa, Zouk, and West Coast swing. She's curated a music set that will set your soul on fire and make your butt want to wiggle. Bring $20 or Venmo at the door. If you're running late or low on funds, join us at 9pm for $10.
