Celebrate with us International musicians day and join us for our musical journey of rhythms next 21st November and every third Thursday of the month at Casa del Ritmo showcasing some of the best emerging new Latin acts London offers for FREE. We welcome a double bill show with Chico Majara + F*ckin Surfer smokers (Kumbia surfin unplugged) direct from Colombia. We welcome Chico Majara, both elegant and raw, swagger and dagger They mix the tropical feel of Latin music with the intensity of punk and elegantly land on their feet with feline grace. The percussion lay out irresistible grooves reminiscent of early Latin Boogaloo and Salsa. The rhythm section sways sensually while guitars and vocals go wild providing with an exhilarating sense of danger. Having played in this new form in the likes of London’s Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club, Chico Majara are working on their new concept EP soon to be released. This band is ready to take the UK by storm with their wild and elegant sound. At ease in both Jazz clubs and in underground venues, Chico Majara’s live show is a feel-good, sassy and cathartic experience.
