3rd Annual Not-Your-Valentine Blackout Bachata Brunch

Ditch the Valentine's Day pressure and join us for our Not-Your-Valentine Blackout Bachata Brunch on Sunday, February 8th! *Dress code is all black.* Join instructor Lisa at 12pm for a beginner-friendly bachata lesson before DJ Perico takes it away with the hottest mix of salsa, bachata, kizomba, zouk, and merengue til 4pm! Come hungry and check out Sticks & Spoons’ special menu—you won’t want to miss this! UPDATE: All proceeds from this event will be donated to the National Immigrant Justice Center. Every time we dance together, we get to enjoy and celebrate Latin and African culture and music. The very least we can do in return is protect and support those being targeted by ICE. We strive to make every event welcoming and inclusive for everyone, and just in case there was any uncertainty, we wanted to be clear about where we stand. Entrance is at the front of the City Market Building on Campbell Ave. Cost is $10 at the door for dancers (cash or Venmo); free entry for those only ordering food downstairs. Kids aged 16 and under are welcome with free entry, but must be supervised at all times by an adult. The dance floor can be a dangerous place for small kids, and Big Lick Latin Underground is not liable for injuries. New, seasoned, solo, and partnered dancers are all welcome!
