3rd Annual Vancouver Contact Improvisation Festival

The 3rd Annual Vancouver Contact Improvisation Festival (VCIF) offers an inspiring weekend of learning and sharing experience with highly regarded teachers from Canada and the United States. The festival includes intensives, classes, jams and discussion groups that are focused on encouraging and nurturing the study and practice of dance improvisation. Areas of study include solo/group improvisation, contact improvisation, movement practice, blindfold movement and contemplative dance practice. Each day will begin with a class suitable for beginners and gradually increase is skillset followed by a community jam. All levels and abilities will be accounted for in all classes. Festival dates and times are as follows: Nov 24 (Friday): 6pm to midnight Nov 25 (Saturday): 9am to midnight Nov 26 (Sunday): 9:00am to 6:00pm Teachers are listed as co-hosts and we expect that list to expand. A schedule will be posted as soon as it begins to fill. Registration is now open. Space is limited to a maximum of 40 participants are we are currently at 27 so we expect that the event will sell out by early next week!!!!!! Pricing Options $85 flat rate for the weekend $60 per individual full day/night $55 for the the CI intensive from 2-6pm on Nov 24.
