OUR Bootcamp format will include current and former World Salsa Champions Jhesus Aponte, Henry Salazar, Angela Tarallo & Joel Gomez along w/ OC Salsa teachers Esteban Conde & Isabelle Lezotre. Please review criteria to see which level is suited for you. BEGINNER LEVEL This level is for students with zero to little experience and its open to everyone. In 4 Hours, the bootcamp will cover the entire beginner level 1 syllabus from OC Salsa Teaching system (6 steps and dancing techniques) starting with the basic step. As the classes advances you will learn single turns and by the 4th hour, how to dance and put everything learned together. You will learn how to lead, follow, how to dance on beat and have fun. No partner needed! We rotate students who come by themselves (99% of the students come without a partner). Couples welcomed (rotation not mandatory) INTERMEDIATE LEVEL This level is for students with a least 1 year of social dance experience. This levels is for intermediate level students and dancers. Students know how to lead and follow all fundamental moves, and are starting to learn musicality, double turns and more intricate patterns and forms. Students know how to dance on beat and can return to dance o beat when losing the rhythm of the music. ADVANCE LEVEL This class is for those who with 2 years + of social dance experience. Concepts will cover on1 and on 2. Students are familiar and do shines and footwork on the social dancing, stay on beat. Advance level students feel uncomfortable dancing off beat and are familiar ad proficient with double turns, copa steps, and 360’s on their dancing. REMEMBER: Intermediate and Advance Level moves at a speed suited to the requirements and the instructor won’t slow down the level of the class to maintain the quality suited to the majority. For that purpose the instructor will start the class with warm up moves from the level bellow (intermediate will warm up to beginner dance moves, and advance will warm up to intermediate level moves) IMPORTANT: The intermediate & advance level focus heavily on technique. The themes are the same at every camp and each instructor teaches the concepts to impart based on their expertise and interpretation on those subject so students can benefit the most.
