4hr Intensive Workshop with Guy Mayer. Taking their current experience and building on it. Not suitable for absolute beginners that have never done any dance before. The style taught will be Tango Nuevo (the evolution of tango Salon) the more fluid, flamboyant and elastic type of embrace may include off-axis moves, playfulness, attention to rhythm and melody, emphasis on greater improvisational skill of woman in dance. Recapping on basics of the tango style of connection moving from simple figures to more complex ones that will challenge you! The workshop is capable of delivering a large payload however that will depend on the class ability and ease of progress. Among many possible elements ochoes / cortados / Colgadas / sentadas/ Leg wraps / Grand finally Guy Mayer Bio Guy runs a successful tango school and Milonga (dance party) in Watford teaching the Salon style of social dancing. Prior he was teaching for years at Trings’ Tango Victoria before they disbanded 2 years ago. Having dances the Tango for over a decade his Tango knowledge comes from studies with Argentine masters in Buenos Aries, London & his world wide travels to find new teaching. Influences of Body work from Contemporary improvisation, Pilates, Meditation, Martial arts … all have health and the Human body as their focus.
