4th Afro-Tropical Weekend 30 Ιουνίου - 2 Ιουλίου 2017 Maori Beach Bar Πιστό στο καλοκαιρινό του ραντεβού θα είναι και φέτος το Afro-Tropical Weekend. Το μουσικό τριήμερο, που αναζητά μουσικά διαμάντια από τις πιο απόκρυφες και ιδιαίτερες γωνιές του παγκόσμιου παναφρικανικού χάρτη, έρχεται για 4η συνεχόμενη χρονιά και βρίσκει ιδανικό χώρο φιλοξενίας στο Maori Beach Bar, επιστρέφοντας έτσι, μια φορά τον χρόνο, στο σπίτι που το δημιούργησε. Κρουστά, χορός, DJ sets και πολλοί καλεσμένοι​ συναντιούνται για τρεις ημέρες δίπλα στη θάλασσα, συνθέτοντας ένα πρόγραμμα που περικλείει μέσα του ό,τι και το καλοκαίρι: ανεμελιά, ξεκούραση αλλά και δράση. Οι επισκέπτες θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να έρθουν σε επαφή με πρωτόγνωρα ακούσματα και να νιώσουν την μαγεία του ρυθμού της ​Μ​αύρης Ηπείρου και της αφρικανικής διασποράς. Μουσικές του ’60, του ’70 και του '80 με Caribbean, Afro-Funk και Latin Jazz ηχοχρώματα, βραζιλιάνικο ταμπεραμέντο, τροπικές γεύσεις και δροσερά cocktails θα ταξιδέψουν τους φίλους της αυθεντικής καλοκαιρινής διασκέδασης σε μια άλλη εποχή. Τι θα δεις και θα ακούσεις στο 4ο Afro-Tropical Weekend; Η αυλαία ενός συναρπαστικού τριημέρου ανοίγει την Παρασκευή 30 Ιουνίου, λίγο πριν τη δύση του ήλιου, με την ομάδα WMA (World Music Adventures) σε ένα ολονύκτιο DJ set με ελεύθερο πνεύμα. Το Σάββατο, η ομάδα κρουστών Paranaue μας ταξιδεύει στη Bahia της Βραζιλίας, μας χορεύει στα πρότυπα των Blocos Afros και μεταδίδει τον παλμό της Samba Reggae. Καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της ημέρας απολαμβάνουμε θεματικά DJ sets από τους Larry SKG​,​ Phon​ και Ioannis​ σε ρυθμούς Calypso,​ Cumbia,​ Compas, Merengue, Highlife. Μόλις νυχτώσει τη σκυτάλη αναλαμβάνουν οι Γάλλοι DJs και vinyl diggers Julien Achard και Nico Skliris (Digital Zandoli Soundsystem) που έρχονται απευθείας από το Παρίσι για μία και μοναδική εμφάνιση που προβλέπεται εκρηκτική. Την Κυριακή, από νωρίς το μεσημέρι, ο Oldman Talkin' μας ταξιδεύει στους ρυθμούς της Bossa Jazz ενώ το κλείσιμο αναλαμβάνει ο Siraistak, σε μια απ' τις σπάνιες εμφανίσεις του. [English] 4th Afro-Tropical Weekend 30 June - 2 July 2017 Maori Beach Bar Keeping a four-year-old tradition alive, the three-day music festival showcases music talents and hidden musical gems from every corner of the African map. The festival finds the ideal place to be hosted, Maori Beach Bar, returning once again to the place where it was created. Live performances, DJ sets and a lot of guests meet for three days, by the sea, composing a line-up that goes perfectly together with summertime: carefreeness, relaxation and fun. The visitors will get the chance to discover new sounds and feel the magic of the Black Continent’s rhythm and the beats of the African diaspora around the world. Music from the 60s, 70s and 80s with Caribbean, Afro-Funk and Latin Jazz sounds; Brazilian temperament, tropical flavors and tasty summer cocktails will transport visitors to another era. What will you see and hear in the 4th Afro-Tropical Weekend? The opening will take place on Friday, June the 30th, just before sunset with the WMA team (World Music Adventures) in an all-night free-spirited DJ set On Saturday, the Paranaue percussion band will take us to Bahia of Brazil, make us move our feet us to the rhythm of Blocos Afros and bathe us in the vibes of Samba Reggae. Throughout the day we will enjoy thematic DJ sets: Larry SKG, Phon and Ioannis in the sounds of Calypso, Cumbia, Compas, Merengue, Highlife. When the night falls, French DJs and vinyl diggers, Julien Achard and Nico Skliris (Digital Zandoli Soundsystem), flying directly from Paris for one and only appearance, will create an explosive atmosphere. From Sunday midday, Oldman Talkin’ will help us relax to the rhythms of Bossa Jazz, while Siraistak will take on the closing of the night, in one of his rare appearances.
