Tango is a sensual, intimate dance that is often seen as mysterious and exotic. While the basics of tango are relatively simple, the true beauty of the dance lies in the embellishments. These flourishes can be anything from a simple head nod to a flashy leg wrap, and they are what give tango its characteristic flair. When done well, embellishments add style and personality to the dance, and can even be used to express emotions. Of course, not all embellishments are created equal. Some are tasteful and elegant, while others are over-the-top and cheesy. It takes a skilled dancer to know how to use embellishments effectively, and Eleonora Kalganova is one of the best in the business. A former competitive ballroom dancer, Eleonora has been teaching Argentine tango for over 10 years, and her classes are known for their focus on style and musicality. If you want to learn how to add some spice to your tango dancing, Eleonora is the teacher for you. 2-3 PM, May 22, 2022 — Group Class with Jevgeni Davidov & Eleonora Kalganova. Tango is a complex and beautiful dance that requires both technical mastery and musicality. In this class, Jevgeni Davidov and Eleonora Kalganova will teach you the essential techniques needed to danced tango with grace and power. You will learn how to lead and follow with precision, how to stay connected with your partner, and how to execute turns and movements with style. In addition, you will also learn how to listen to the music and interpret the rhythms, allowing you to dance with fluidity and expressiveness. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, this class will help you take your tango dancing to the next level. 4-6 PM — On May 22, 2022 from 3-6 PM, PRACTICA "AMOR" will be held. This is a guided tango social practice that includes beverages and appetizers. No partner is needed. PRACTICA "AMOR" is the perfect opportunity to learn or improve your tango skills in a fun and welcoming environment.
