5 week Beginners Argentine Tango course in October with Leo & Tracey

5 week Argentine Beginners course with Leo & Tracey in Westbourne on Thursdays throughout October. What you will learn The authentic, improvised Argentine Tango based on walking and connection as danced in Leo's home city of Buenos Aires. The first 5 weeks will cover basics, technique and connection so that you will be able to merge with the other groups and start to dance quicker than you may think! The group will be a mixed group for the first 20 minutes as we start with exercises to help balance and musicality, then the group will divide and Tracey will be your dedicated teacher for the rest of the session, while Leo will take the Improvers plus. Why Tango Fandango? Tango Fandango was founded over 25 years ago in the UK by Leonardo and is one of the longest running professional Schools of Argentine Tango in the UK. You will learn the methods taught to Leo by his father and will learn how to lead and follow so that the dance is improvised, not a choreography. Tango Fandango have taught 100's of people over the years and since moving from London in 2017 have established a vibrant community throughout the South West, teaching 4 times a week in Westbourne and Wimborne and hosting multiple events for you to enjoy dancing and socialising. Their classes and events are renowned for being warm and friendly. What to wear Comfortable shoes but preferably not trainers Do you need a partner? No partner is required. We do ask people to swop around during the class as it helps you learn connection but if you are attending as a couple and wish to stay together that's fine. Can I just drop in? Yes, drop in classes are £10pp but if you book ahead for the whole 5 weeks of the course the price is £40pp. Do you have to do every week to join? Although it is an advantage if you immerse yourself for the 5 weeks in Argentine Tango, if you miss a week, it's not a problem as we always revise before progressing each week. Is there car parking nearby? Yes, the hall has it's own car park behind which is free for users of the hall. Nearby transport There are bus stops opposite the hall. How to book the course?
