On Saturday the 29th of June we will throw an unforgettable event celebrating the 5 year anniversary of The Swing Era with an exciting day of workshops, classes, live music and celebrating all amazing students, events and moments from the past 5 years. 2-5pm Day time workshop 'A Day at the Races': Learn the moves from this iconic historical film featuring Whiteys Lindy Hoppers. Opportunity to perform on the evening. MORE INFO BELOW 8-9pm Dance Class, Open to All Levels: Suzanne and Martyn will teach their first ever class again! 9.30-10.30 Jim Wynn Swing Orchestra 10.30-11pm Performances (students, teachers, performance group) 11-12pm Jim Wynn Swing Orchestra 12-2am DJ music Dresscode inspiration: Ball, Vintage, A Day at the Races We also want to specifically invite all students who have danced with us in the past to come and celebrate this special event with us! 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WORKSHOP: A Day at the Races For our 5 year anniversary Martyn and Suzanne will bring you this special workshop, teaching moves from the famous historical video from 'A Day at the Races' (1937), performed by Whiteys Lindy Hoppers. Learn the iconic and quirky variations to -Swing Outs - Tandems - Hack saws - Turns - Drags Level Open to all dancers who have learned swing outs and tandems. Opportunity to perform As a group you will have the opportunity to perform the newly learned moves during the Summer Ball in the evening. This is optional.
