6 Week Progressive Kizomba Training

Arizona you are about to be one of the only states that has access to this training program! Kizomba Phoenix will start the first of 2 six-week progressive training courses on Wednesday February 8th (course 1 will complete March 15th). This course will focus on Afro Latin Connection's Training Methodology. Antonio Medina and Heather Duncan are some of the few U.S. based instructors in Kizomba to have completed instructor-training with Afro Latin Connection. We were honored and challenged (this was NOT an easy task) to train as instructors with them in November and are excited to finally roll-out this training program. The program's intent will be to train new dancers in Kizomba in a way that quickly progresses body movements, lead/follow, connection and steps as well as increase knowldege of the history and culture of the dance. And it will be FUN! AfroLatin Connection has put much research and experience into their program and we are very, very excited to share it with you! Based in Portugal Paula and Ricardo of Afro Latin Connection direct one of the most prestigous Kizomba schools in the world. In 2007 and 2008, they won the title of the best Portuguese teachers. In 2009, they won in the category of best Portuguese Show at the Top Dance Awards and were nominated for best choreographers at the Portugal Dance Awards in the world dances category.
