It's time to dance and build on your KIZOMBA & KOMPA skills at The Dance Place. *** DANCE SHOES ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT THE DANCE PLACE*** MAKE 2025 THE YEAR TO LEARN THE HOTTEST DANCES IN THE LATIN DANCE SCENE!!!! Originally from West Africa, Kizomba is a partner dance that is a sexy addition to any Latin dance party. Come and learn the basics plus a few more moves. KOMPA: Kompa, also known as “konpa” or “compas” is a Haitian music genre and a social partner dance that gets more and more popular in the world. No partner necessary or dance experience. Training will include follower- leader connection, technique, and musicality. TERMINOLOGY: LEADER : The Lead is responsible for guiding the follower into each dance step through various signals. FOLLOWER : Moves and processes the Lead's guidance. We have some temporary rules that are expected to be followed and precautions that will be enforced: 1) Due to limited class size: NO WALKS-IN!
