8 Week Salsa Courses

HERE WE GO! Winter classes are COMING NEXT WEEK! The classes are held every Thursday and run 8 weeks. New, more affordable prices! If you sign up by January 7, you save 5%. Registration Link: https://tinyurl.com/y72ul7nd The class break down and pricing is as follows: 6:30-7:30pm- SALSA FUNDAMENTALS ➡️ You need no experience for this class. I will literally give you all of the skills and vocabulary you need from the very, very basic level. A partner is preferred (plus if you sign up with someone, it's a discount), but it's not mandatory for ANY of the courses. 7:30-8:30pm- SALSA INTERMEDIATE ➡️ Co taught with De'Jon Polanski. To be in this class, you must understand basic timing of salsa and have mastered basic steps and shines (i.e., break step, cross body lead/ reverse, cross body lead with a turn, cross body into an open break, right/left turn, Susie q, front double cross to name a few). If you need a review of these things, that's fine. We will review them the first class, but by this level they should already be fundamental to your dancing repertoire. Again, a partner is NOT mandatory, but is strongly preferred. This class is mainly focused on pushing into more in-depth and intricate shine and turn patterns. We go through a variety of styles including Pop and Afro-Cuban movements. This is just to expand your knowledge and skill and expose your body to various movements. Females, in particular, begin to work on ladies styling in partner and shine patterns. 8:30-9:30pm- SALSA ADVANCED ➡️ Co taught with De'Jon Polanski. This is an advanced class. Students must be able to execute all of the above mentioned in the intermediate course on a mastery level. This class focuses on refinement and retention. Students in this class work fast paced and intricate turn patterns. Females learn various spin and styling techniques. Also, this is a performance/ choreography class. While it is not mandatory that you perform, the class will focus on routines and working towards performing at the New Orleans Salsa Bachata Festival and other dance events.
