A Tango Weekend Sat 22 Nov 10am to Sun 23 Nov 5:30pm. Singles and couples welcome. Inspired by the European encuentro tradition, our Tango Weekend is more than classes — it’s a retreat! Step away from Perth and immerse yourself in two days of dancing, learning, eating, and celebrating together in Maria Girak’s restored Masonic Hall in Northam. Led by Rodrigo & Agustina, the weekend blends tradition, creativity, and community. Across the weekend you’ll enjoy: -Welcoming ronda & ice-breakers, -Tango workshops on technique, connection & creativity, -Improvisation, performance & chacarera -Evening Milonga with DJ Fonti, plus student & artist showcase, -Shared meals, live guitar & a joyful Farewell Milonga. Deepen your tango, connect with friends old and new, and recharge in Northam’s beautiful setting. Northam is about 100 km northeast of Perth, roughly a 1½-hour drive. It’s easy to drive up on Saturday morning and return home on Sunday, so overnight accommodation is optional — but if you’d like to stay, here are convenient places nearby.
