Tonight we are pleased to feature LIVE MUSIC by Grammy winner Pablo Opsalom Bilbraut with his ensemble, 'Los Muchachos del Caribe' (The Caribean Kids) in celebration of dance, music and Frankie Martinez’s birthday! One of NYC's longest running salsa events brings you the best in Afro-Latin music! Hosted by Manny Blackett and featuring classic Salsa Dura, Cha Cha Cha and Boogaloo played by internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer of the ABAKUA Afro-Latin Dance Company, Mr. Frankie Martinez. Everyone is invited!!! About the Band: Pablo Bilbraut was born in Arroya, Puerto Rico and began playing music at a young age. He has also recorded several albums with the Arturo O’Farrill Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra , Chico O'Farrill Afro Cuban Jazz Orchestra directed by Arturo O’ Farrill- winning multiple Grammy Awards for Best Latin Jazz. The last ten years Pablo worked and performed with Willie Villegas y Entre Amigos and other top salsa musicians. He is a Master Latin percussionist performing in New York and abroad with artists including the late Tito Puente, Ray Barretto, Wynton Marsalis, Dave Valentin, Carlos 'Patato' Valdez and Candido Camero. ‘Los Muchachos del Caribe’ are a group that play salsa, latin jazz, cha-cha-cha, boogaloo & rumba- formed in honor of Adrian & Luis Benjamin, Pablo Bilbraut Sr., and all of the original members of the Caribean Kids.
