He has premiered his cello compositions at Carnegie Recital Hall and toured internationally with the Paul Winter Consort and the Essex String Quartet. He has also worked extensively with dance and theater artists, including members of Pilobolus, Wire Monkey Dance, Beverly Blossom, and has been a Visiting Artist at Amherst College. One of his film scores won the Jury Prize Gold Medal at the Park City Film Music Festival. Stephen is a frequent guest musician for improvisational movement jams in Western Mass, Boston, and beyond. A native of San Francisco, Stephen holds a Master of Music degree from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. His recordings and publications are available at www.stephenkatzmusic.com JOSEPH DICENSO grew up in a family of drummers and at an early age was drawn to the piano. He studied classical piano and composition at the Hartt School of Music and then returned to his roots in jazz.
