ABCs of Kizomba

Hello everyone! Thank you for your support of C4-Kiz! We are excited to announce our next special event in Charlottesville: ABCs of Kizomba✨ --- OVERVIEW: Looking for something do to this holiday weekend? Want to learn a new skill? Join in the fun at the UVA Rotunda! ABCs is a free, open community class to gather to learn and dance Kizomba, a partner dance originating from the country of Angola. This 3-hour session will cover the basic steps and several fundamental movements of Kizomba, giving new dancers the tools necessary to dance with confidence. THE WHEN, WHERE, AND HOW MUCH: Location 🏘️: The UVA Rotunda Dates 📅: 7/2 Time 🕗: 5pm to 8pm - approximately 2 hour lesson, 1 hour practice & play Price 💸: FREE, but donations are welcome! PRECAUTIONS 😷: This event is open to all, regardless of vaccine status. Participation in a close contact activity does come with in increased risk of injury and exposure to illness, so do take that into consideration before registering for this series. Masks are not required, however, participants may choose to wear one if they feel more comfortable. We ask that you stay home if you are feeling ill. In addition, this event takes place OUTDOORS. This means that both location and time are subject to changes in the weather. Keep an eye on the event page for updates. Additionally, remember to wear something comfortable and bring plenty of water! Water and simple snacks will be provided, but as supplies are limited, you're encouraged to bring your own water bottle.
