The workshops are designed to integrate new tango techniques in traditional tango. To get the most out of the classes a beginner -intermediate level is required (at least one year dancing regulary). In this set of workshps we will be working with advanced Calecitas, Volcadas and Linear Voleos. WS1 13.30 - 15.00 Intermediate /Advanced Play with the circular, grounding and lifting energies. WS2 15.15 - 16.45 All levels The Volcadas: the importance of the center. We will work with the connection, reciprocity of energy and resistance. WS3 17.00 - 18.30 Intermediate / Advanced Linear Volcadas and complex sequences. Mikael's Practica, Hosted by Abdel 18.30 - 19.30 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~Sunday 27 November~~ Application on the dance floor. We will be working with different types of caminatas according to the music and the moments. WS4 11.30 - 13.00 Beginners / Intermediate How to use the energy in the dance to anchor the lead and create diferent dynamics. In this class will be working with simple Calecitas figures. WS5 13.15 - 14.45 Beginners / Intermediate Caminatas and navigation on the social dance floor. WS6 15.00 - 16.30 Intermediate /Advanced Caminata on beat 3 and 1 using resources/adornos to improvise on the social dance floor with connections and interpretations. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each workshop will be 90min long with 15min in between. On request of the teacher the workshop is limited to 6 couples, to leave the space to personal feedback. On Saturday, The workshop will be followed by a short practica with the teacher at the end. About the teacher : Abdel Cuauhtli Pérez Gutiérrez is a professional tango dancer, trained in México and Buenos Aires during the past ten years, giving lessons and participating in various festivals and dance companies. He is now teaching and giving private classes in a tour through Belgium, Netherlands, United Kingdom and now Sweden. Abdel has dedicate his life to the arts. Besides the tango, he also studied graphical and art design, photography and documentary film.
