Abieié Masterclass Series: Samba no Pé + Passinho Workshop Our next and last Abieié Monthly Masterclass Experience from 2018 will be with a special treat as Irineu Nogueira is inviting Pablo Guerreiro Ferreira, from Rio de Janeiro, to teach Samba no Pé and Passinho dance for the 1st time in the UK. Samba no Pé Rio Samba, carnival style. This will include fast, sensual and glamorous dance steps and sequences that will make you feel in the heart of carnival. Passinho Dance craze that began in Rio’s poor neighbourhoods. It mixes a variety of different styles from funk, breakdancing and Michael Jackson’s moonwalk, weaving in Brazilian rhythms like samba, frevo and forró. Join us!! He is light and smooth on his feet and that is why he is known to be the 'Brazilian Michael Jackson'. Pablo is a former teacher from Jaime Aroxa and Manoel Dionísio Mestre Sala and Porta Bandeira dance schools, where he acquired a vast knowledge of the carioca samba world. As a dancer he participated in many musicals, shows and performances including Se Ela Dança Eu Danço (So You Think You Can Dance Brasil). At Acadêmicos do Salgueiro and Mangueira Samba Schools he had the opportunity to work with great choreographers, such as Jaime Arôxa, Hélio Bejani and Carlinhos de Jesus. Pablo acted as choreographer assistant/cast trainer for TV programs and soap operas “Lado a Lado” and “Flor do Caribe”, both from the Globo TV Channel. Currently, he works as an actor/dancer at the musical show Ginga Tropical.
