Absinth Aperitif Soiree: 100 Jahre Filmstadt Weißensee

(English Below) Der letzte von unseren drei Festivaltagen, an denen wir das 100 jährige Jubiläum der Eröffnung der Filmstadt Weißensee feiern! Im Berlin der 1920er Jahre war der heute fast vergessene Kiez einst als „Klein Hollywood“ bekannt und galt als kultureller Hotspot. Künstler wie Fritz Lang und Marlene Dietrich drehten hier die Filme, die bald das German Cinema als weltweit bekannte künstlerische Bewegung etablierten. Ausstellung, Stummfilmkino, Live-Musik und „Absinth Aperitiv Soiree”, ein Kabarett Abend gestaltet als Hommage an das Berlin der 1920er Jahre! Eine Veranstaltung des Bezirksamtes Pankow von Berlin, Amt für Weiterbildung und Kultur – Museum Pankow, in Kooperation mit Per Aspera Productions /// 19:30 AUSSTELLUNG / BUCHPRÄSENTATION: HERRRRREINSPAZIERT Inhaltlich thematisiert die Ausstellung in insgesamt vier Kapiteln die Entwicklungsgeschichte des Filmstandortes Weißensee zwischen 1913 und 1929 sowie die Anfänge der Kinematographie und behandelt konkrete Filmproduktionen sowohl des Expressionismus als auch des Monumentalfilms darunter „DAS CABINET DES DR. In the 1920’s, this now nearly forgotten neighborhood was once Berlin’s cultural hotspot, named “Little Hollywood”, as artists like Fritz Lang and Marlene Dietrich were making the films that established German Cinema as an international artistic movement. The program includes an exhibition, silent film screenings on original 16mm, live music, and “Absinth Aperitiv Soiree”, a specially crafted cabaret evening as a hommage to 1920’s Berlin!
