ADE: AN­TIANO DANCE EVENT: KOI KANSA

Kurashi Col­lec­tive pre­sents mu­sic from the Nether­lands An­tilles Kurashi is organizing the closing event of the festival at SEXYLAND World, featuring an evening dedicated to the Dutch Antilles. The night will showcase a mix of live and DJ sets with blended Caribbean genres. Kurashi Collective interprets its cultural backgrounds and past experiences in a completely unique way, applying them creatively, freshly, and personally. This interpretation extends from music and fashion to personal stories and identity. “Kurashi” means courage in Papiamento, and the interpretation of the word emphasizes the importance of each individual being courageous and outspoken about their own identity, so as not to be governed or influenced by external factors. Sound is an integral part of Kurashi Collective. Their musical chapter, Kurashi Soundsystem, embodies the musical influences that have shaped them. Selectors Lennert, Malik, Jack, and Pablo traverse through sounds ranging from Salsa to Bubbling, Hip-Hop, Jungle, Baile Funk, Dembow, Reggaeton, Soca, Reggae, Ritmo Kombiná, Tambú, and Tumba to create that Caribbean atmosphere that heats up any dance floor.
