Advanced+ Balboa Course Starts Wednesday January 7th! 7 weeks

Advanced+ Balboa Course Invite Only (Prior Approval Required to Join) PREREQUISITE You’ve been learning Bal for at least 3 years and you have received prior approval from the teachers to join the class. Please contact Val/John at [email protected] or through Swing Toronto for more information. The approval process may involve an audition at the teachers discretion. Additionally, you are confident dancing all the basic Pure Bal and Bal Swing shapes and connections at tempos above 200 BPM. These include but are not limited to: Uphold Basic, Downhold Basic, Scoots, Paddles, Come Around, Out and Ins, Lollies, Swivels, and Toss Outs. You are happy to dance a whole night of Balboa socially. You likely practice, and are ready to play with partnership and connection, not just new vocabulary. You understand that dance is a two way street and are interested in what your partner has to say. TEACHERS John & Val DETAILS This class is designed for high level dancers who want to dive more deeply into topics of connection and partnership. Vocabulary, while present, will take a backseat to refinement of fundamentals and comfortable communication with your partner. This class is about exploring our dancing and refining our voice. Let’s work on the nitty gritty details together! VENUE Studio, Trinity St.Paul’s, 427 Bloor St W. Use Bloor St entrance towards west side of the building SCHEDULE 8pm-9pm on Wednesday for 7 weeks starting January 7th, 2026 PRICE Prices are per person per course.
