We are super EXCITED to be bringing Afrekete Cuban Dance, Music & Culture festival to North Queensland in August 2023 and we'd love to INVITE YOU TO JOIN US 😍 The 1st dedicated Afro-Cuban Dance, Music & Culture event in Australia continues to to MAKE HISTORY with it's FIRST EVENT in the warm paradise of Townsville in the middle of winter and at the iconic Seagulls Resort 🏝💃🏽🎼🕺🏼 💛 4-6 August 2023 💛 We plan a few extra activities pre- and post-event too so come up and make it a holiday just like Cuba but at a 10th of the costs!! 🌟 DAY 1: Festival Opening Friday 4th August Our official OPENING CEREMONY plus professional showcase 'A Night in Cuba' followed by Cuban Music Documentary Queensland Premiere Screening ‘Cuba My Soul’ then a Welcome dance party. 6-11.30pm (included in Full weekend pass) 🌊 DAY 2: Saturday 5th August The start of a whole weekend of workshops in the Roots of Salsa with some extra special percussion sessions 10am-5pm Traditional Cuban Dinner 7-8pm (separate cost) 🔥🔥🔥 PLUS our HOTTER THAN HAVANA NIGHT White-themed Cuban party night with Live Cuban Band & DJ (included in Full weekend pass) 8.30pm - late 🪘🎼🥁 DAY 3: Sunday 6th August Workshops continue 10am-5pm Closing Ceremony 5.30pm DAY 4: Monday 7th August Post-event boat trip to Magnetic Island - $110 - DM for details !!
