A day to celebrate aspects of Afro-Brazilian culture such as aesthetics, art, rhythms, dance, fashion and food in Dublin. WHAT Head wrap workshop by Turbante.se + Afro-Brazilian dance workshop with Alessandra Azevedo & Go Dance + Photo Live Studio with Pati Guimarães + Photo exhibition + Pop up shop + Lunch with the traditional Brazilian Moqueca (fish & palm oil stew) by chefs + Caipirinhas + Loads of music & great craic at Wigwam HOW #Atlantica is the new collection designed by Thaís Muniz for Turbante.se, and it brings together Afro-Atlantic Diaspora {Brazil, the Carribbean, Nigeria, USA, Cuba} via head wraps, photos, video-poem, collages, clothing, and many printed textiles. For the Afro-Brazilian day in Wigwam we would like to present: From 1pm - Exhibition/ Photo Studio/ Pop Up Market - Photo liive studio with photographer Pati Guimarães {Yes, she will be there doing a photoshooting & taking beautiful portraits that you can get it printed there and/or get it online} - Turbans & Head Wraps workshop by Turbante.se teaching about the history and how to tie 10 models of head wraps & clothing with scarves {subscription required. Link above} at 2pm - Afro-Brazilian dance workshop with Alessandra Azevedo (Go Dance) {subscription required.
