Join us for a special 2-hour Afro-Cuban dance experience exploring Cuban movement, music and culture. These workshops are designed to reconnect you to rhythm, expression and authentic movement, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced dancer.
🕙 10am – Afro-Cuban Rumba (Guaguancó)
Rumba is the heartbeat of Cuban culture - raw, expressive and deeply connected to African roots.
No partner required. Come ready to move, feel and express.
🕚 11am – Son Cubano
Son is the elegant foundation of salsa - where rhythm, connection and flow come together.

With over 25 years of experience, Christina is widely recognised as a pioneer of Cuban dance in Australia. Known as the Godmother of Cuban dance in Australia, she brings deep cultural knowledge, embodiment, and a passion for connecting people to the roots of movement.

A Cuban-born artist and experienced dancer now based in Adelaide, Dayan brings authentic cultural insight, rhythm and energy, sharing the essence of Cuban dance as it is lived and felt.
