Afro-Cuban Salsa - 17th Anniversary Party + CD Giveaway!

This Monday (3rd Sept), we’ll be hosting a very special party to celebrate SEVENTEEN YEARS of Salsa Caribe’s legendary weekly Monday night Cuban salsa sessions, The Afro-Cuban Lounge (originally at the Buffalo Bar, then the Garage, and now Upstairs @ The Driver). To entice you along, there’ll be some scrumptious free bar snacks to keep you fuelled througout the night + the first 100 people through the door will receive a copy of DJ Dr Jim’s latest compilation CD, featuring a very fine selection of the big tunes currently packing Cuban dance floors, including several yet-to-be-released tunes + a couple of classics for all you timba connoisseurs! CDs will be handed-out on a first come, first served basis, so come early to avoid disappointment! Doors open at 7.15pm and we kick-off around 7.30pm with authentic Cuban salsa classes for all levels (from absolute beginners to advanced). After the classes, DJ Dr Jim will keep you partying well into the early hours with his medicinal mix of the very best Afro-Cuban salsa, timba & son.
