DSANTOS DANCE CA is an Afro-Latin partner dance school in the California Bay Area, hosting weekly classes and events. We focus on building community. Founded by Tyler and Misha, we love sharing the joy of partner dancing through Salsa, Kizomba, Bachata, Semba, Kuduro and more. We are an affiliate of Kizomba Canada, creatively inspired by our mentor Manuel Dos Santos, also known as Dr. Kizomba - the epic dance legend himself. Be inspired!
Tyler Crandall:
Tyler has been dancing since 2002 where he started as a social Salsa dancer, who’s weekly persistence in classes and social dancing brought him into teaching in 2007. He is the director and owner of Dsantos Dance CA, and before that he also founded Dsantos VT in Vermont, which is still a thriving dance community. Tyler is an active part of Kizomba Canada’s professional international performance team, lead by Manuel Dos Santos. He believes that success comes from building an inclusive dance environment and encouraging every student to achieve their individual goals, all while having a lot of laughs.
Misha Bailey:
Misha began studying dance at the age of 4, focusing on ballet and modern. Dance for her is about the transformational and empowering gifts that stem from movement and body awareness. She found her true dance home when she discovered Dsantos VT - where she fell in love with both the community fostered by the Dsantos Dance schools, and the art of following. In 2016 she founded Dsantos Dance CA with Tyler, and loves adding to the Northern CA dance community with the Dsantos Dance mission and Afro-Latin dance genres.
