Afro-Latin Workshop with Mithesh Shiva Kumar

Our very own Kovai boy Mithesh Shiva Kumar will be back in town to teach Afro-House, bachata & Kizomba. Afro-House: Popular in several African countries but spreading worldwide now. This style, from Angola, is more strongly influenced by Kuduro, an up-tempo, energetic dance style whereas Afro house presents a much softer and more fluid version of it where moves flow to hypnotic beats of house music mixed with African Tribal influences. Bachata: It is a social dance style which comes from Dominican Republic where the music was born but is danced by the people all over the world now. As dance keeps evolving, the original/dominican bachata was inspired from a latin dance form called Bolero. The dance itself has evolved along with music to create various other forms like Traditional, Moderna, Bachatango, Bachata Sensual which have their own flair. Kizomba: Kizomba came from an expression Kimbundu, an angolan language which means "Party".Kizomba as a dance was born on the 80's in Luanda (Angola), after major musical influences from Zouk (Antilles) and has its origin on Semba, a popular angolan music & dance style. About our Artists: We are bringing in Mithesh Shiva Kumar who is a Bachata Asia Open Champion, Kizomba Open 1st Runner Up in IIDC Bangalore 2017 and Kizomba 1st Runner Up in Pro Category in ALIA 2017 held in Malaysia. Tejashri Tonpe : 2 times Kizomba Runner-up who is not only trained in Afro-latin dance forms but also famous in Hyderabad for bollywood freestyle and stunning stage presence. Jyoti Kullu : She is one of the best Afro-latin social dancers in town who sets the floor on fire with her charm and style. 2nd Runner up in IIDC 2017, Bangalore & ALIA 2017, Malaysia, she is already a latin dance teacher and the fitness trainer for the group. Etishree Raut : Trained in Afro-latin dance forms - Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Semba and winner in Bachata Asia Open Championship IIDC 2017, Bangalore.
