About this Event
Your favourite Beninese girls are inviting you to a day of dance, food and fun at Port Melbourne Beach!
Program:
11 AM - Workshop 1: Afro Fusion
You know us, we are deeply rooted in the Afro Caribbean cultures.
This workshop will be a blend of N'dombolo and Soca!
One was born in Congo the other in Trinidad & Tobago, but both will make your hips move on groovy music!
If you planned to get back on the dancefloor after a long "break", this is what you need! Party vibes guaranteed!
12.30 AM - Lunch: Picnic at the beach
Potluck, bring any food and drinks for yourself or to share.
1.30 PM - Workshop 2: Caribbean Zouk/Konpa
A beach party wouldn't be complete without Zouk and Konpa.
Zouk (Guadeloupe and Martinique) and Konpa (Haiti) are two related dances from the West Indies.
You will learn the basics of these couple dances but mostly to let go and trust your hips.
You don't need to have a dance partner ;)
Beach time: Music and fun
Let's just enjoy some good tunes, the beach and dance!!
Price: Donation
Registration is required for this event.
