Agapé Dance Company Auditions

Agapé Dance Company is excited to announce that we will be holding auditions for our Amateur competition team, Amour de Agapé, a non-competition training team, a ladies shines team, a mens shines team AND for our Pro Team. Attendees will have the opportunity to pick which team they would like to audition for and come at the indicated times for that specific team. All teams will receive the same training BUT our competition team members will learn both a Bachata AND a Salsa routine which will both be competed at the World Salsa Summit and hopefully a few other competitions throughout the year. Our training team will focus on training to become better dancers socially and performance wise & will learn a routine once everyone grasps all of the training that is being offered. Shines teams will learn shine routines in either salsa or bachata depending on which one the team will choose to dance. All teams will focus on general dance technique, lead and follow technique, spinning technique, connection, stage presence and all performance aspects. Previous dance experience is required for those interested in auditioning for the competition team! We ask that only those who consider themselves at a high-intermediate to advanced level choose to audition for the competition team. Please come in comfortable (athletic) clothes and dance shoes (dance heels for ladies). Bring plenty of water as you are definitely in for a work out. Please be on time and come ready to work. If you have to show up late to auditions for any reason please make sure to let us know before hand as we will not be letting people who come late without prior notice go through the audition process. Thank you in advance! :) We will start the registration process at 11:00am. Please be there early to fill out paperwork. Dancing will begin at Noon. Audition Schedule: 11:30am - 11:55am Registration 12:00pm - 3:00pm Everyone 3:00pm - 3:30pm Break 3:30pm - 6:00pm Am Team 6:00pm - 7:00pm Pro Team Those auditioning for the Training Team and/or Shines teams only are dismissed at the 3:00pm Break.
