Zachary believes there is a deep need for Men & women to gather in safe space to cultivate deeper connection and community through softening into the vulnerable aspects of ourselves and baring witness to what is under the surface. Zachary creates space for comedy/ musical improvisation, Ritualistic physical exercises for the masculine & allowing for freedom of emotion for the feminine. After the Deep dive into oneself we emerge into the night of dance and creative expression @ Illuminate Dance : weekly Ecstatic Dance Experience in the Same space @ 173 spruce st. Steve was unknowingly mentored by a 10-acre patch of woods across the street from his boyhood home and later by the Adirondack wilderness. From this emerged his passion for creating space for nature to exert its innate powers that bring healing, inner clarity, and that secret sauce that makes us fully alive. Steve is a graduate of the Kamana Naturalist Training Program, an extensive home study program in the art of building a relationship with one place in nature and it's wild residents. He has been visiting a sit spot in the woods near his home most days since 1994. Steve is similarly passionate about the power of circling and of dance. Since 2007, he has participated in and led on a rotational basis, a weekly men's circle associated with the Mankind Project. He began his deep dive into ecstatic dance six years ago and soon will be debuting as a DJ at Illuminate. Steve is thrilled to be contributing to our new Illimuniate community in Albany. Cagney has always had a passion for connection, intimacy, and the beauty of community. With roots in psychology and social work, she received a very clear message to switch gears and deepen into her spiritual work in 2017. Her experiences lead her into the realm of the Heart, which has become her place of passion and focus. She is now a breathwork facilitator, intimacy mentor, and ceremonialist. She loves weaving movement, breath, and emotion together as a catalyst for healing and deeper connection with self and others. She has felt the power of being in circle together both as a participant and facilitator. Recognizing that when we show up authentically, we welcome the full messy & beautiful spectrum of all it means to be human. She is so excited to be a part of this community and to connect with you soon! 💗 Melissa Rose is a trauma informed, licensed massage therapist out of Saratoga Springs, NY. She graduated from the Center of Natural Wellness and Massage Therapy in 2016 and holds a 200hr yoga certification. From a young age, she has been passionate about understanding the intrinsic workings of relationships and the interconnectedness of the world. After several years of unintentional “field work” and finding herself seemingly lost in life, massage found its way to her and birthed the portal to begin alchemizing collected pain into pearls of wisdom. Using parts of her own story as reference points, she takes on an open approach in cultivating a secure container for sharing and receiving aspects of the human experience. Melissa believes that having space to be heard, seen and supported allows breathing space to soften the wear and tear of life. A foundation of her practice is holding space to invite the child within to emerge by creating a safe and playful connection with those around her. Ecstatic dance has been a powerful tool and outlet throughout her own healing journey. She is thrilled to be a part of this new community!
