Frank Obregon has been teaching in the Netherland in the past. It's a big pleasure to have the opportunity to be and learn with him for an entire tangoweekend.
Frank has a long curriculum in tango as well a a musician and as a dancer. A short outline:
Frank is a double bass and percussion musician. He is a professional Argentine tango dancer with an extensive career developed in Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia. His work is oriented to all levels of tango with a great specialisation in dance technique. He has been choreographer of important theater shows and was principal dancer of others. He has been honoured for his achievements in radio, press and in television events with Beijings CCTV being the last. He has been champion in three competitions as well as jury of others. In 2014 he won the renowned Buenos Aires city Championship together with his dance partner during that time Jenny Gil.
Above everything Frank is a very gentle man, a great teacher and fantastic person to have with us!
Corine has been at the heart of Amsterdam tango for more then 25 years, promoting, teaching, inviting high profile milonguero maestros and organising milonga ‘La Bruja’ since 2007. Corine combines everything a good teacher needs: knowledge, experience, enthusiasm. Her knowledge is formed by twenty five years experience of learning, dancing and teaching as well as regular and extensive visits to Buenos Aires. Her reflections on tango combine technical precision with vivid imaginativeness. In her teaching, she focuses on dancing as a dialogue, works on male and female roles and she uses her broad knowledge about the human body, coming from her profession as a homeopath. But above all is her enthusiasm: She really believes in her students and in her warm and inspiring way she gives confidence in each one’s own abilities. Corine is a true ambassador of the joy of dancing. Finally: The results of her teaching are always impressively successful! (written by Martin Ottmers)
