Brazilian Zouk dance is constantly changing, after the new generation’s dancers joining the International Zouk World we have so many new moves and trends so it’s nice to explore them. My guest teacher Melyssa Tamada is joining us for the 2nd time to help me making this course an amazing and fun learning experience. I believe that together we will deliver to you a beautiful and very useful insight of what’s trendy and “must know” in the Zouk world these days. Coming from Sao Paulo, Brazil, they dance and teach Brazilian zouk and lambada, and are part of the young Sao Paulo generation of up-and-coming zouk teachers that are taking the world by storm. Their zouk videos are watched every day by hundreds of people and they massively influence the zouk style. She has a very clear understanding of human motor skills and constantly educates herself in new techniques. She has taught dance in over 30 countries, and has been teaching, performing, and dancing her heart out at international zouk festivals for over 11 years. She pioneered zouk in Poland in 2011 in Warsaw, and she is a qualified judge of the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council. She has taught zouk together with Pasty, Kamacho, and William dos Santos, and in recent years found success and immense pride in teaching popular solo follower classes at international festivals, attracting zoukers wanting to learn her unique and expressive style of dancing in order to enhance their partner dancing. Her methodology combines a high level of technique with expression and playfulness.
