Alma Chicago Auditions Season 5

Alma Latina Dance Company is one of the top and elite dance companies in the WORLD! Alma Chicago exists to bring technique, training and intricate choreography to Chicago's dance community. Alma Chicago is a division company that serves as a branch of Alma Latina Dance Company. Auditions will be held at Legacy Dance Association DATE: Sunday August 6, 2017 TIME: 5:45pm to 7:00pm Genres of teams offered: Bachata *Audition Details* - Stretch warm up, exercises, drills and choreo instruction will be recorded before auditions. - Auditions are recorded. - Dancers will learn and practice a portion of a routine that will display their dancing abilities in spinning, partner technique, footwork, shine technique, classical technique (if any) and performance. *Expectations* - Be on time - Workout gear/dance clothes are required. Wear clothes that fit the body and show figure. - Street shoes are not accepted on the dance floor. Socks, flats, heels and Latin dance shoes are all acceptable. - No Children or guest are allowed @ the audition. - No food allowed during the audition. Bottle of water recommended. - No recording is allowed with any device. - Be respectful - Rember you are auditioning, everything is being taken into consideration when being chosen: personality, etiquette, time of arrival (remember early is on time) - Have fun and focus *More Company info* Alma Latina Dance Company is a dance company with multiple World Champion Awards in: Bachata, Salsa, Cha Cha, and Cumbia in numerous divisions such as: Professional, Pro/Am, Intermediate and Amateur teams. Train and build your dancing with world class choreographies created by the director of Alma Latina, Gaby Equiz Alma Latina! *Alma Chicago Dance Company* Directed by: Jonathan Rivera, professional Actor/Dancer/Singer he most recently directed TMC Youth Dance Company. Jonathan is an Alma Chicago veteran dancer who obtained a Musical Theatre degree (a triple degree in Acting, Dance and Music in vocal performance) in 2015 and a Certification in Fitness instruction and Sensei License in Jujitsu Kai. Jonathan has been performing professionally since he was 5years old and started dance training in hip hop, Latin Ballroom, Ballroom, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Musical Theatre dance and Tap by the age of 7. Jonathan has danced for Willow Street Dance Studio, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Intrigue Dancd Studio. Team dancing includes: Aspira, Beyond All Dancing, Los Aumuentos de Las Semillas and Legacy Pro. *Benefits of Alma Chicago Dancers* -Weekly instruction and rehearsal for 2hours - Private online access for choreography breakdown videos/technique exercise videos/updates and discussions -Training in classical technique: Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Ballroom. - Training in Latin Dance technique : spins, footwork, strength/ conditioning. -Training under the Alma Pro team when in Chicago, midwest area or at congress's where the Pro team is teaching/ Performing.
