BREAKING NEWS!!!! Dublin Fever Weekend present BACHATEUR - Amateur Bachata Competition: Regional heat Ireland and Northern Ireland. FRIDAY - 14th of April - be ready to Impress the International JUDGES! BACHATEUR is an International Amateur Bachata Championship, the big final will be held in Riga Latvia during the 1st Riga Bachata Sensual Fest. This is your opportunity to participate. Rules of participation BACHATEUR: Regional Heat: Ireland & NI 1. The couple ( man + woman ) have to be over 18 years old. 2. The couple should be amateurs, meaning that they have never won in other Bachata Competitions or teaching Bachata at any level. 3. Open to people living in Ireland and Northern Ireland. 4. To participate send an email with the full name and phone number with subject line BACHATEUR to [email protected] Rules of the competition: 1. The competition is based on improvised social dancing ( not a choreography ) 2. There will be 2 phases: A) Couples will dance all together on a randomly chosen song by the organizers, each couple will receive points from the judges and the couples with the highest score will qualify for phase 2. B) Each couple will dance separately for 2 minutes to a randomly chosen song. Each couple will receive points from the judges. 3. The couple with the highest score from both phases will become the BACHATEUR Ireland Champion 2017 and will get the opportunity to participate in the Big final held in Riga Latvia on 22nd of September during 1st Riga Bachata Sensual Fest. Prizes: 1st Place: Flights & Acomodation to Riga to participate in the International Final. 2nd Place: Right to participate in final in Riga, full pass for 1st Vilnius Bachata Fest 2017, 50% full pass for 1st Riga Bachata Sensual Fest 2017. 3rd Place: full pass for Dublin Fever Fest 2018.
