Ambassador Tango Cup & Milonga 2023

We are very happy to confirm that the next Ambassador’s Tango Cup will take place at the Argentine Residence on Sunday 3rd December 2023. Just after the competition, there will be a Milonga starting @ 5pm till 10pm in the stunning ballrooms of the Argentine Residence. This is going to be the last Milonga in 2023 at the Embassy and we have the pleasure of announcing that the music will be selected by our lovely DJ: Elena Fernandez. Booking here: https://bit.ly/3QXdmxz ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ''The Competition'' The competition is going to be open to tanguer@s residents in the UK.* Contestants must be at least 18 years old by the date of the competition. The copetition is open to Amateur & Professional dancers. There will be the following 5 categories: -Stage Tango** -Pista Tango** -Milonga -Walz -Senior Milonguer@s*** (Only Amateur dancers) *The residency requirement for the champ. involves one member of the couple spending over 183 days per year in the UK, while the second dancer, if not meeting the first requirement, should still have a continuous residence of at least 90 days in the UK before the championship. ** The competition is NOT an official preliminary of the Tango BA (Festival & Dance World Cup) *** Pista Tango for tanguer@s born in or before 1963 (minimum one dancer in the couple should meet this rule) The champions will have the title of ''Argentine Tango Ambassador in The UK'' for one year or until the next Ambassador's Tango Cup. We are very proud that a renowned group of local teachers/maestros have agreed to work together to make a great panel of Judges, they will all be announced in the coming weeks. We are very greatful that the music of the championship will be in the hands of Alessia Cogo. The competition starts at 2pm. and it should be finished by 5pm. The competition has the same fee as the milonga and also includes the milonga.
