Every Thursday for over twenty eight years, Tango La Nacional hosts an intimate community of dancers from every corner of the world. We are LGBTQ+ friendly with an emphasis on inclusivity and harnessing the power of embracing a stranger. We are located in the heart of Meatpacking District above the legendary La Nacional Spanish tapas bar & restaurant. Carolina Balmaseda is a professional Argentine Tango dancer and instructor. Sub-champion 2023 ATUSA & SOCAL Championship & Festivals. In 2006 she pursued her passion for tango studying with renown master tango artists and later founded the Company Neotango in Cuba. Since moving to South Florida she founded La Practica, a training ground for beginners and advanced dancers, and she established a social dance venue, Milonga La Vitrola. Andres Bravo is a talented instructor and dancer of salon and stage Tango. In 2006 he was National Stage Tango Champion in “Tangovia” and in 2009 he won the National Stage Tango Competition in the city of Bogota. Andres has dedicated great part of his professional life to teaching tango to people in a very unique and effortless way.
