Amateur is defined as a dancer who has not ever been paid for dancing nor teaching Bachata. 2. For purposes of this contest, if a couple (not an individual dancer) has placed 1st on 2 Amateur Bachata contest in the past 3 years or placed top 3 on an Open Bachata Contest will not be considered an Amateur couple. 3. No choreographies necessary. This an Amateur lead/follow Social dance contest. Music will be chosen by the DJ. 4. There is no limitation for types of moves. Everything is allowed. 5. During preliminary rounds, judging will be done by audience applause. At the final, judging will be done by a judging panel. 6. Preliminary Rounds will happen every Thursday listed at 11p. 7. Pre-registration is not necessary. Couples will dance on the floor once the contest is announced and sign-up once the qualify to the final. 8. 3 couples will move to the final per week.
