About this Event

Angelica Medina is offering a brand new 5-week series on how to channel your inner Chingona/x on the stage! A Chingona/x is a person and/or mujer who is intelligent and fearless. Also known as a “Boss” or “Badass”. This series will be taught on Tuesdays, starting August 25th, September 1st, September 8th, September 15th and September 22nd‬ ‪from 7-8:15pm‬ via Zoom. The goal of the series is to build your self-confidence as a dancer by incorporating certain rituals and strategies that will enhance your overall performance experience. This course is for all level dancers, even if you don't have experience performing on the stage, this course will help you feel better prepared. Each week will have a different focus such as: rituals to help overcome stage fright and nerves, how to generate authentic emotions in the moment, how you can incorporate improvisational theatre techniques as a form of storytelling, and more.
