Hänet tunnetaan hienovaraisen herkästä ja naisellisesta tanssityylistään sekä selkeästä ja tarkasta palautteestaan tunneilla. Noelia on esiintynyt useissa merkittävissä kokoonpanoissa ja opettanut tangofestivaaleilla Argentiinassa ja ympäri maailmaa. Hän oli mukana luomassa Tango DeLuxe-tapahtumaa yhdessä Maria Inés Bogadon, Josefina Bermúdezin ja Roxana Suarezin kanssa ja on pitänyt seuraajien tango salón-tekniikkaseminaareja, joihin on osallistunut satoja naisia eri maista. Viime vuosina Noelia Barsi on esiintynyt Javier Rodriguezin ja Sebastian Arcen kanssa; edellisen kanssa hän kävi kerran Suomessakin Tango Frostbite-festivaalilla ja on työskennellyt viimeksi mainitun Arcetango-koulussa Moskovassa. Nykyisin Noelia tanssii loistavan Aoniken Quirogan parina. Huhtikuussa meillä on ilo saada Noelia jälleen vieraaksemme Helsinkiin, jossa hän pitää seuraajien tekniikkatunnin sekä viisi parituntia Aoniken Quirogan kanssa. Vierailu on tämän tanssiparin ensimmäinen! (ENGLISH) Noelia Barsi, dancer and teacher of Argentine tango, began to dance as a child over 25 years ago. As a dancer she is known for her subtle, delicate and feminine style, and as a teacher for her clear and concise feedback. She has worked as a dancer and teacher in various distinguished theatres and festivals in Argentina and abroad. She was the creator and co-organiser of Tango DeLuxe along with Maria Inés Bogado, Josefina Bermúdez and Roxana Suarez, as well as the seminar "La mujer en el tango, técnica femenina para tango salón", in which more than 500 women around the world have participated. During the last few years Noelia has performed with Javier Rodriguez and Sebastian Arce; with the former she even came to Finland for the Tango Frostbite festival, and worked with the latter at his Arcetango academy in Moscow. Currently Noelia is dancing and touring with the amazing Aoniken Quiroga. Next month we are lucky to have Noelia visit us again in Helsinki, where she will give a technique workshop for followers and teach five workshops for couples with Aoniken Quiroga - a first-ever visit for this couple! AONIKEN QUIROGA (English below) Aoniken Quiroga aloitti tanssin 7-vuotiaana, ympärillään Buenos Airesin suuret milonguerot, ja esiintyi kotikaupungissaan jo 12-vuotiaana. Aoniken kehitti aivan omanlaisensa tyylin, ja 19-vuotiaana hän tuli tangon maailmanmestaruuskisojen tango salón-luokassa toiseksi. Vuosia myöhemmin hän luopui urastaan lakimiehenä ja omistautui sille, mitä eniten rakasti: tangolle. Aonikenin elämä mullistui kun hän sai kutsun liittyä Forever Tango-tanssiryhmään, jonka mukana hän vei tyylinsä laajalle Yhdysvaltojen ja Meksikon kiertueelle. Buenos Airesissa hän tanssi solistina kaupungin tärkeimmillä estradeilla, joihin kuuluivat mm. Tango Porteño ja Señor Tango sekä legendaarinen Café Tortoni. Vain 23-vuotiaana Aoniken alkoi lisäksi opettaa ja esiintyä merkittävimmillä festivaaleilla Euroopassa, Aasiassa ja Amerikassa. Hän on työskennellyt mm. kuuluisan Alejandra Mantiñanin kanssa ja tanssinut Noelia Barsin kanssa vuodesta 2017. Nykyään, 25 vuoden tanssikokemuksen tuloksena, Aoniken on onnistunut kehittämään oman opetusmetodinsa, joka pohjautuu biomekaniikkaan ja tietoiseen vartalonkäyttöön samoin kuin argentiinalaisen tangon historiaan. Maltamme tuskin odottaa näkevämme Aonikenin ensimmäistä kertaa Helsingissä - viejät, huomatkaa että hän pitää perjantaina erityisesti teille suunnatun workshopin! (ENGLISH) Aoniken Quiroga started dancing at the age of 7, surrounded by the great milongueros of Buenos Aires, and at 12 he was already performing in his city. Having developed a style of his own, at only 19 years old he came second in the Tango salón category of the World Tango championship in Buenos Aires. Years later he gave up his career as a lawyer in order to dedicate himself to his passion: being a tango dancer. At that moment, his life changed as he was invited to join the company Forever Tango, which allowed him to take his style to an extensive tour of the US and Mexico. In Buenos Aires, he was the lead dancer in some of the most important shows of the city, including Tango Porteño, the legendary Café Tortoni, Señor Tango and others. At only 23 years old, Aoniken broadened his career, teaching and performing at the most prestigious festivals in Europe, Asia and America. He has worked with the renowned Alejandra Mantiñan among others and, since 2017, is the dance partner of Noelia Barsi. Today, with 25 years of experience in the dance, Aoniken has managed to develop a teaching method based on biomechanics and conscious body work, as well as the history of Argentine tango. If you are wondering whether an "all levels" workshop is too easy or too difficult for you, the answer is probably no! These classes are not meant for absolute beginners but the themes that are dealt with are useful for all students regardless of their dance background. Also for experienced dancers who wish to deepen their understanding of the topic with excellent teachers. Do I have to register with a partner? Registration in couples is required for all classes *except* solo technique. This is why it’s a good idea to be active and look for a partner at tango lessons and milongas and on Facebook - you can search for a partner by posting on this event or in this group https://www.facebook.com/groups/296232484498929/. Even if you don't have a partner you should definitely take the individual lesson on Friday and come to the milonga on Saturday and see the show! Do my partner and I pay for the workshops together or separately? Registration for all workshops except solo workshops on Friday takes place in couples and we ask that, for these workshops, one half of the couple make the payment for both partners. Do I have to be a member of Amigos del Tango? In order to attend the workshops all Finnish residents must be members of Amigos del Tango. If you are not a member yet, or if you have not yet paid your membership fee for 2019 (25€), please mention this in the "remarks" field on the registration form and we will contact you as soon as possible. Opetusta on säännöllisesti, lisäksi workshop-viikonloppuja ja tangomusiikkikonsertteja pidetään muutaman kerran vuodessa. Tanssisalin tilat ovat myös vuokrattavissa. Lattia on hyvälaatuista laminaattia ja erinomainen tanssimiseen. Voidaksesi osallistua ja vaikuttaa Amigos del Tango ry:n toimintaan sinun tulee olla jäsen. General information El Ático organises is a dance studio run by the tango association Amigos del Tango. AdT organise regular weekly milongas, usually on Thursdays and Sundays. There are regular classes as well as workshop weekends and concerts throughout the year. The dance studio is also for rent. The wooden floor is excellent and perfect for dancing. As a member of Amigos del Tango you have the possibility to participate in all activities organised by the association. You can register to become a member at the milonga or by e-mail.
