Apricot Ballroom x No Bounds w Donna Leake

October brings with it one Sheffield's most exciting annual events, the superbly curated No Bounds festival, which we're thrilled to be a part of once more. We'll be throwing a party on the Saturday of the festival at our usual spot on the top floor of Bal Fashions, with one of our favourite guests we've ever hosted, Donna Leake. Our party with her back in October 2019 was an incredibly special night, and was part of the reason we're still doing this today after a rocky few months prior to it. She played an absolutely superb set, weaving her way through psychedelic jazz, funk, dancehall, latin, and numerous other bits that we couldn't even put a name on if we tried. We're mega excited to have her back, where she'll once again be on a nice long set for her to stretch out musically. Support comes from Sheffield’s very best Jazz DJ Ashley ‘Groove’ Grimshaw who we had support her last time. His set at the last party with Donna was just absolutely perfect, and couldn’t think of anyone else we’d rather have in the second slot. The Apricot Ballroom hosts Joi La Frique & Nonna Fab will most likely be weaving some tunes in somewhere as well, and will have their beautiful audiophile soundsystem in full effect as always, with the custom Klipschorn/Celestion Ditton/Goodmans combo. Entry will be free for No Bounds ticket holders (limited spots available), or start at £6 for everyone else.
