Please welcome Michelle Lamb back to our Melting Pot Fusion dance! CLASS: TANGO FOR FUSION DANCERS Michelle will be offering a class suitable for more experienced dancers on adding elements of tango into your fusion. Experience the joy of tango! It’s full of walking, twisting, footwork, close connection and clarity of axis. Michelle is a master of precision and body mechanics, but her classes are organic and fluid, delightfully layering technique and details in a way that will get you dancing tango in no time. One of New York City's best known and most accomplished tangueras, Ms. Lamb has toured the world extensively to teach and perform Argentine tango, often with famous tango orchestras and composers. In the United States she has headlined major tango festivals such as Windy City Tango Festival in Chicago and the San Diego Tango Festival. Ms. Lamb currently resides in NY, teaching tango and the Gyrotonic Expansion System. Every Sunday night, she runs El Destino, one of New York's hottest milongas. Finishing the evening will be DJs Neil Benen and a guest. In an effort to stay green, we will not be providing paper cups for you at this event. SHOES: There are no street shoes, heels or hard heeled shoes at this venue. This is a really beautiful venue with a really beautiful floor, and we would like to keep it that way! COVID: We follow all local regulations of New York City. Please refrain from coming to the party if you have any flu-like symptoms at all. We reserve the right to ask you questions about your health and/or ask you to leave if we observe signs of sickness that could be linked to Covid. In addition, we encourage anyone to wear a mask who feels more comfortable doing so, and you are welcome to ask anyone to put on a mask to dance with you. To us, this means breaking down the boundaries between dance forms to allow us to pick and choose which amongst the many different techniques we wish to employ at any given time.
