NEW John and Anna UK SALSA COURSES!!! ❤️ Starting the week of 26 April! ✅ Courses limited to 5 students MAX to focus on detailed feedback. ✅ Taught on Zoom ✅ Concessions for unemployed, students and NHS/frontline workers ✅ Progressive and technique focused ✅ 1 hour a week for four weeks ✅ Recording available if you miss a week ✅Scheduled around you – we’ll discuss a suitable day and time with each group once registered £35 / course, packages available for multiple 1 – INTRO TO PACHANGA Taught by John. This course will introduce you to the fundamentals of Pachanga; a super funky and energetic dance which will take your salsa style to the next level. taught on2 but suitable for on1 dancers as well. By the end of the course you will be able to confidently incorporate Pachanga patterns into salsa footwork patterns. Level: For intermediate salsa on1 or on2 dancers new to Pachanga or need a refresher. 2 – BODY MOVEMENT FUNDAMENTALS Taught by Anna. This course will offer the fundamentals of body movement isolations and technique, focusing on the upper body, training key isolations and applying to variations across the chest, shoulders and hips. Taught on1, but suitable for on2; the focus is on technique, not footwork. Level: Open level – learn from scratch or refresh technique. 3 - SALSA ARM, HAND AND WRIST MOVEMENT Taught by Anna. Focused on learning fundamental concepts of arm, hand and wrist movement including core elements in the basic step and how to vary in different types of footwork patterns. We’ll also cover how to use core arm movement to support and embellish basic body movement. Open to all genders and on1/on2. Level: Open level – learn from scratch or refresh technique. 4 – ON2 IMPROVERS FOOTWORK Taught by John and Anna. If you’re new to on2, this course is for you! Aimed at expanding your knowledge of on2, focusing on simple shines, building to longer footwork patterns. 5 - AFRO-CUBAN BODY MOVEMENT Taught by John. A course focused on expanding your body movement through traditional Afro-Cuban moves. We will explore the cultural significance of the movements and explain how they can be incorporated within salsa. Level: Open level (but not for beginners)
