Every Thursday for over twenty eight years, Tango La Nacional hosts an intimate community of dancers from every corner of the world.
We are LGBTQIA+ friendly with an emphasis on inclusivity and harnessing the power of embracing a stranger.
We are located in the heart of Meatpacking District above
the legendary La Nacional Spanish tapas bar & restaurant.

We celebrate the 9 de Julio, Día de la Independencia! 🇦🇷
9th of July, Argentinian independence day! 🇦🇷
And to show us and teach us how is done we will have
Silvana Brizuela-Weigel & Jose Rojas!
They will teach and perform Argentinian folk dances like the very beloved Chacarera!
Silvana is from Buenos Aires where she began her studies at the Escuela Nacional de Danzas and Teatro Colón and the school of the Teatro Municipal General San Martín.
Simultaneously she studied tango with Mingo & Esther Pugliese, Eduardo Sotelo & Ivonne Laens, Rodolfo Dinzel, Julio Balmaceda, plus Natalia Games& Gabriel Angió, among others.
Jose is an independent professional dancer, born in Argentina. He arrived in New York in 2015 and since then he has worked for different Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tango and Folklore companies, such as Connecticut Ballet, D'Zul Dance Company, Calpulli Mexican Dance Company among others.
