art continuum residency in Thailand 2020: PART TWO, 3-10 August

About the residency: The residency is designed for artistic development, exchange, research and production of art, existing periodically in diverse locations. Focused on fields of poetry, dance improvisation, performance and film. It is orientated towards those who are looking for a flexible environment to develop their own creative pathways, to cultivate contemplation of the present moment, poetic vision and being with nature, in collaboration with other artists. The residency supports individual artistic development and searches for an intuitive approach to co-creation. Residency website: http://artcontinuum.space part one: 16-28 of July, 2020 event: https://www.facebook.com/events/260902312002039/ part two: 3-10 August, 2020 Thailand, Koh Phangan Island The third edition of the residency in Thailand will be focused on sensing poetry of the moment through contact improvisation, instant composition, dance with nature and contemplation. We have a private dance/art studio, perfectly fitting for all our activities. Exact location will be shared privately. The program will consist of 3 sessions per day: Sensing poetry of the moment / composing the reality - laboratory - facilitated by Sasha Dodo and Dolores Dewhurst - Marks. Open focus laboratory - artistic exchange, self - emerging workshops, collaborative projects. Open space - jamming: improvising, experimenting, performing (integration of actual processes). The schedule will be flexible, depending on the energetic state of the group and the actual creative process. We project the late morning and afternoon will be dedicated to labs, taking place both in the studio and outside. Evening will be open space, possibly focused in relation with the labs. Description of sensing poetry of the moment / composing reality laboratory: We will practice to be here; to cultivate availability for what is happening in the space; opening ourselves for the inner landscape of our meeting, towards the continuous flow of hidden events and subtle qualities which arise during our improvisation. Exploring how we can lightly and openly maintain conversation with the unknown; sensing and composing poetry already present in the moment. Reawakening profound abilities to listen attentively and trust without so much expectation; creating lucid space and time for new beginnings, where poetic vision can be shared by being embodied. Together we will create an environment in which it's possible for perception to shift to a place where reality is more alive, interconnected and poetically rich. Developing spatial intelligence in which group communication and investigation mostly happens wordlessly. Where everyone continually tunes themselves to the moment. Part of the process will be in the nature. Regarding participants interests and the overall creative stream we are in, the outcome could be performances, short poetic/dance films, poetry, etc. Participation 3500 TBH.
