She views music & movement as sacred expressions of a universal language; a language that unites and empowers people from all backgrounds. As a lover of many varieties of music she interplays with genres, while difficult to categorize her music is often described as haunting, sultry, and sacred. Her voice is a bridge to ethereal realms, unparalleled but reminiscent of Kate Bush, Florence Welch, & Sevdaliza. She is well known for her loving approach to yoga that was developed while living and teaching at Harbin Hot Springs and through her mentorship with Angela Farmer. Since then she has been a chef and product developer for local healthy food companies like Urban Remedy and Good Earth. She is wholeheartedly happy to serve the Bay Area Dance Community in nourishing connection from within. When she is not playing with her food, Leela teaches Play based Authentic Relating & Connection Classes, Full & New Moon Circles for Womyn+, & Cacao Ceremony Soundbaths.
