She was a Blackpool finalist in Junior, Youth, Amateur and Professional categories before moving to the USA. In the United States she has been a US National Latin Champion and a World Professional Latin finalist. In addition to dancing and teaching Asta is studying for a BA in Business at the Icelandic National University, she also speaks 5 languages. Since joining forces in 2022 Andrew and Asta have been at the very top of American Rhythm becoming Blackpool Professional Rhythm Champions as well as World and US Vice-Champions and in 2024. They were also selected to be the first couple to represent American Rhythm in the Middle East, demonstrating the style in Abu Dhabi. In 2024 Andrew and Asta were also picked to deliver a lecture on American Rhythm at the BDF International Congress at Blackpool Dance Festival, the first couple asked to lecture on this topic.
