About this Event

ATTUNE: A Dance and Voice Lab for Collective Presence With Delia Brett & Julia Ulehla August 23–24, 2025 | 10AM–3:30PM daily 📍 The Russian Hall, Vancouver Move. Sound. Listen. Become more human — together. In this age of distraction, speed, and disconnection, the ability to slow down, feel, and attune — to ourselves, to each other, to the world — has become urgent. ATTUNE is a 2-day immersive workshop where improvisation, movement, and voice become powerful tools for personal growth and collective transformation. Through the embodied practices of Contact Improvisation, vocal exploration, and somatic awareness, we’ll co-create a space where presence becomes power, and connection becomes a way of healing. Facilitated by long-time embodiment artists Delia Brett and Julia Ulehla, this lab invites you to step into a field of relational practice where we don’t just move — we remember how to be together. With trust. With truth. With breath and sound and touch. This isn’t about performing. This is about practicing the kind of human you want to be — and doing it in relationship. ✨ You’ll explore: • Partnered & solo movement improvisation • Embodied voice & vocal experimentation • Somatic yoga & nervous system prep • Listening through touch, breath, and sound • Journaling, group dialogue & shared reflection All bodies, voices, and identities are welcome. No experience needed. Just come as you are — willing to show up, listen deeply, and move from the inside out. 💥 WHY NOW? Because many of us are feeling it: The ache for deeper connection. The exhaustion of performance and pretense. The hunger to belong — not just in theory, but in the body. In this age of burnout, polarization, and hyper-individualism, learning how to attune — to ourselves and one another — is no longer optional. It’s foundational. It’s revolutionary. It’s how we repair. It’s how we evolve. Through movement and sound, we practice listening beneath the noise, meeting each other in truth, and co-creating the conditions for real change. These aren’t just skills for the dance floor — they’re relational technologies for a more human world.
